Authena Launches L1VE Tracking Solution at CES 2022

Creates transparent, as well as smart supply chains, offering brands more security.

With counterfeiting continuing to be an issue during COVID-19, Swiss start-up Authena is launching its Authena L1VE tracking solution to protect supply chains at CES 2022.

The latest in the Authena Shield range of IoT and blockchain-based technologies, Authena L1VE uses customizable tags, transponders, geolocators and environmental sensors linked to blockchain to enable tracking of individual products in real time. This authentication process creates transparent, as well as smart supply chains, offering brands more security while generating a new communication channel between manufacturers and end-users worldwide.

“Counterfeiting leads to billions of dollars in losses for companies every year and has serious consequences for people and the environment,” says Authena CEO Matteo Panzavolta. The increased online purchasing habits due to covid- 19, have heightened the dangers posed by the global trade in counterfeit pharmaceutical.”

Panzavolta continued, “Serious health and safety issues arise when people order fake medicines online. Through our Athena Shield range we provide the most advanced IoT and blockchain based anticountfeiting technology solutions that provide end-to-end traceability and secure user-interaction.”

In addition to pharmaceuticals, leading companies in the wine, cosmetics, luxury goods and agricultural sectors have adopted Authena solutions which are easy to integrate and scale.
